EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — East Providence city officials will accept donations for a reward for identifying who shot a dog in the city last Tuesday.
Niko, the husky, was found with a pellet or small caliber round in his head. He later died at a veterinarian's office.
"Numerous people have reached out to me personally asking how they can help," Mayor Bob DaSilva said. "I cannot think of a better way to keep Niko’s memory alive than to find the person responsible."
