Gertrude V. Sabourin, 93, Lived in Rumford 60 Years
Her visiting hours are today and her funeral is Thursday from Rebello Funeral Home in East Providence.

Gertrude V. (Duffy) Sabourin, died September 1, 2013. She was 93.
She was the wife of the late Raymond H. Sabourin. Born on March 29, 1920 in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Duffy and Mary (Eastwood) Mulvaney Duffy.
She lived in Rumford for over 60 years, and was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, and proudly looked after her family.

She is survived by her daughters Elaine Gamache of Grantsburg, Wisconsin and Lori Raskin of Atlanta, Georgia, her sons Raymond J. Sabourin of Riverside, RI, John Sabourin of Barrington, RI and Robert Sabourin of Rumford, RI. She leaves seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Sabourin was the sister of the late Catherine Taber, Alice Corsair, Lucy Forrest, Helen Bailey, Olive Viau, Margaret Corsair, Ruth Gamache, Leonard Duffy, Hugh Duffy, Charles Duffy, William Duffy, Frank Duffy, George T. Mulvaney and Edward Mulvaney.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 9 am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am in St. Margaret's Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford, RI. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.

Visiting hours will be today, Sept. 4, from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
