Henry A. Lariviere, 73, Retired Providence Patrolman
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 19, at St. Brendan's Church in Riverside.

Henry A. Lariviere, of East Providence, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 73.
He was the beloved husband of Thelma (Vargas) Lariviere, to whom he was married 53 years. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Henry and Helen (Denisewicz) Lariviere.
Lariviere was a patrolman for the Providence Police Department for 25 years; before retiring ,he was the recipient of the Archambault Award in 1982. He served in the Navy for four years. He loved his family, animals and gardening.

Besides his wife, he leaves one daughter, Joann Draine, one son, John H. Lariviere and his wife Sue Ellen, two grandsons, Justin and Kyle Draine, one sister, Helen Lariviere, four brothers, Richard, William, Paul and Robert Lariviere and also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Maria E. Lariviere and brother of the late Donald Lariviere.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 10 am in St. Brendan’s Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
