Manuel Souza, 88: Purple Heart Recipient

Manuel Souza, 88, of Arlington St., died at home Monday morning, April 1, 2013. He was the husband of Virginia (Pearson) Souza and of the late Shirley (McPherson) Souza.

His funeral will begin Friday at 8am from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Francis Xavier Church, No. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.
