EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A new family-run Brazilian steakhouse opened in East Providence on Wednesday.

Minas Café – Brazilian Steakhouse II, located at 315 Waterman Ave., is the second location for the restaurant. Owner Gustavo Da Silva and his family also have a Minas Café in Norwood, Massachusetts, and have owned it for 18 years.

"There's a lot of interest in our cuisine," Da Silva said. "People would travel from Providence and East Providence to our restaurant in Norwood, so we decided the time was right, and we chose East Providence."
