RI Man Dies In Thanksgiving I-495 Crash: State Police
The 39-year-old crashed into a tree along I-495 near Mansfield early Thursday morning.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A 39-year-old Rhode Island man died early Thanksgiving morning in a crash along I-495 in Massachusetts, according to state police.
The man, who is from Rumford, veered off the highway near 5:30 a.m. Thursday and crashed into a tree near Mansfield, state police said. He was the only person involved in the crash, and police did not immediately know why he crashed.
The incident closed several lanes of I-495 until around 7:30 a.m. Thursday. The crash was still under investigation as of Friday morning.
