Route 195 Off-Ramp to Veterans Memorial Parkway Reopening
The exit ramp was closed last November; it is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, Sept. 19, according to RIDOT.
The exit ramp from Route 195 east to Veterans Memorial Parkway in East Providence will reopen Thursday, Sept. 19.
The ramp has been completely rebuilt by crews for the RI Department of Transportation. It was closed last November as part of a $2 million project that will preserve the old Washington Bridge and transform it into a liner park and bikeway.
Orange traffic cones have been the only obstacle in the way of the opening for several days. Paving was completed about a week ago.
