Shop for the Holiday at the October Book Sale

Get a head start on preparing for the holiday season at the Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale, October 2 to 5, 2025. There will be a special section with children’s books for Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, as well as puzzles with holiday themes. Pick up a few holiday novels or romances and wrap them up with hot chocolate or fuzzy socks for an instant and inexpensive gift. Choose a holiday craft book now, while you have time to create a unique hand-crafted item for someone special. The children’s section offers Giftable Books for $1. These are new or nearly new books selected by Friends’ volunteers that look like they just came off a bookstore shelf. For adults on your list, there are recent release novels by popular authors. These once-read books sell for $3, a fraction of the price you would pay an online bookseller. Or check out the collectible books for something different or rare. All will be available at the book sale at Weaver Library Oct. 3 to 5 during library hours and Oct. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. for members of the Friends of the East Providence Public Library.
