Teen Student Set Fire To Toilet Paper In East Providence HS Restroom: Cops
The 16-year-old "will face charges of arson and vandalism," police said.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A teen student set fire to toilet paper in an East Providence High School restroom, police said.
On Wednesday evening, the East Providence Police Department and East Providence Fire Department and Emergency Management Agency learned of a "video circulating on social media showing an individual setting fire to what appeared to be toilet paper in a bathroom stall at East Providence High School," the police department posted on its Facebook page.
"We launched an immediate investigation with the support of school administrators," the post said.

At 8 a.m. Thursday, "school resource officers and detectives took a 16-year-old student into custody," according to the post.
"The student will face charges of arson and vandalism," the post said, adding that the "investigation remains ongoing."
