Tockwotton Earns National Performance Award

The facility on East Providence's waterfront is only RI assisted living facility recognized for employee and customer satisfaction, according to Tockwotton.

East Providence’s newest assisted living facility has gained some national recognition.

Tockwotton on the Waterfront has been singled out as Rhode Island’s only elder care organization – and one of 64 across the country – to earn the “Excellence in Action” award from a national trade group that measures performance, My InnerView of the National Research Corporation, according to the facility on the East Providence waterfront. 

“This has been a banner year for our organization,” Executive Director Kevin McKay said in a press release.

  “We’ve moved into a new community that meets our residents’ needs, we’ve expanded our staff and capabilities and now our organization is being recognized for both employee and customer satisfaction.  We’re elated, we’re grateful and we remain dedicated to our mission of providing resident-directed community of care.”

The award is based on “employee and customer satisfaction.” It scored in the top 10 percent of more than 8,500 nursing homes, assisted living and independent living communities in the nation.
