Wanted Man Caught in Garage With 'Large Quantity' Of Coke And Crack: Cops
The cocaine and crack was worth $12,000, police said

GLOCESTER, RI — A wanted Glocester man was caught in his garage with more than $10,000 worth of crack and cocaine, police said.
Glocester police and the Rhode Island State Police Fugitive Task Force headed to a house on Reynolds Road about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday to look for Michael Gilligan, 42, who was wanted on several warrants, according to a media release.

Gilligan was "located in the garage section of the residence" and was "taken into custody on the outstanding warrants without incident," the release said.

"During a search of his person and the garage incident to arrest, officers located a large quantity of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, weighing approximately 155 grams, with an estimated street value of $12,000," according to the release.

Gilligan was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, distribution or manufacturing a controlled substance on or near a school, and possession of a controlled substance, the release said.

He was also taken into custody on several warrants charging him with failing to appear in court, according to the state police.
"Gilligan was later arraigned before Magistrate Joseph Ippolito Jr. in Third District Court, where he was held without bail and presented as a violator of previous cases," the release said.
