Hope Valley Woman Stole More Than $10K: Cops

The Hope Valley woman was arrested by the Rhode Island State Police Adult Correctional Institutions Investigation Unit, police said.

HOPE VALLEY, RI — A Hope Valley woman was charged with stealing more than $10,000, police said.

Cathy Dandrea, 55, was arrested Thursday by the Rhode Island State Police Adult Correctional Institutions Investigation Unit, the state police said in a media release.

Dandrea was arrested on a warrant charging her with obtaining money under false pretenses over $10,000, according to the release.

Dandrea was arraigned and released on her own recognizance, the release said.

State police Lt. Col. Robert Creamer and the state police legal office failed to respond when asked for the report associated with Dandrea's arrest.
