Lift A Pint, Help The Team: The Johnston-North Providence Hockey Parent Association is scheduled to host a night of comedy at Rhode Island Alehouse, 1200 Hartford Avenue (where something else used to be; 5 points if you know what it was, and no cheating) to benefit the co-op boys' hockey team that represents the two towns. Tix are $15; comedy by Mike Murray and friends. Maybe you can catch them mis-pronouncing "puck," or explaining another meaning for the term "Cougars," aside from the hockey team's nickname.

Trip For Seniors: The Senior Center is the departure point for a special Valentine's trip for seniors, leaving at 11 a.m. Cost is $26 and includes meal, entertainment, and — oh, yeah — the bus.
