"Matchmaker Fair" For Businesses: The Rhode Island Small Business Administration presents its "Matchmaker Fair" beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel in Warwick. Sponsored by the Johnson & Wales University Rhode Island Small Business Development Center, the fair offers business owners the opportunity to meet one-on-one with buyers from federal, state, and local agencies, and prime government contractors in need of qualified suppliers to fulfill their government contracts. Fee is $25 and include continental breakfast.
Library Hosts Valentine's Party For Youngsters: As part of its weekly storytime series, Marian J. Mohr Memorial Library hosts Valentine's Day parties for babies and toddlers this week. Today's party is for kids up to 3 years old. The 3- to 5-year-old crowd will have their party tomorrow, and kids 2 to 3 years old can celebrate on Wednesday.
Author Series — Raymond Carver: Starting at 3 p.m., the library opens its reading room for a special introduction to Raymond Carver, a noted short story and poetry writer who died in 1988. His works include Will You Please Be Quiet, Please? (1976) and Cathedral (1983).

The Days Of Wine... And Chocolate: The North Central Chamber of Commerce hosts a wine and chocolate tasting this afternoon starting at 5 p.m. at Market Fine Wine and Spirits, 1412 Atwood Ave. (across from Town Hall Lanes). The $10 entry fee includes sampling of wines and chocolates from around the world. Chocolates will also be available for purchase; complimentary gift-wrapping also available.
