Blaze Breaks Out At Metro Collision Center

Fire was reported just after 11 a.m. this morning at the Metro Collision Center on Putnam Pike. and Fire Department personnel and Smithfield Rescue #1 responded to the scene.

A chemical smell emanated from the paint booth of the car dealership, and a small crowd of employees gathered in front of the office.

Two Johnston firefighters were checked out by Smithfield rescue personnel; neither was transported from the scene.
