Grab & Go — Great Places To Take The Kids

JohnstonPatch has your list of events and activities for the little ones.

At The Library: Marian J. Mohr Memorial Library has a couple of kid-oriented events later this week:

  • Art Smart With Ms. Melyssa for students in grades 3 through 6 on Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. This week's theme is the art of Eric Carle (The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?)
  • Drop-in crafts on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Check out self-directed art projects that parents and kids can do together. Recommended for kids older than 3, as small parts can pose a choking hazard.

Arts & Crafts At Whole Foods: The market at 151 Sockanosset Cross Road in Cranston will host a "make a snow globe" activity for parents and kids over 6 years old on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. Registration at the front desk is required. Later at 3 p.m., Whole Foods welcomes the Rhode Island Kung Fu Club for a celebration of Chinese New Year — 2011 is the year of the rabbit.
