Johnston Police Nab Alleged BJ's Shoplifter
The suspect allegedly grabbed $10,000 worth of ink cartridges and DVD's, police said.

JOHNSTON, RI— A Providence man is being charged with felony shoplifting, Johnston police said Thursday. Michael A. Slonski, 47, allegedly swiped more than $10,000 worth of merchandise from BJ's Wholesale Club. The store is located at 200 Stone Hill Drive, Johnston.
According to deputy police Chief Joseph Razza, the arrest comes after an investigation lasting three months. Slonski is accused of stealing ink cartridges and digital movies (DVD's). He is being charged with four counts of felony shoplifting; and four counts of misdemeanor habitual offender shoplifting.
Police encourage law enforcement to contact them if they have similar cases in their jurisdictions.
