According to police reports, Ptlm. Matthew Leveille and two other officers went to the home of Dawn Conetta on Aug. 18 at about 4 pm, where Conetta told them that when her son returned home a little earlier, "he became ill and began vomiting."

Conetta told the officers that her son, who was not identified because he is a juvenile, "admitted to her that he had just consumed alcohol," Leveille wrote.

The juvenile said Mosco had bought the alcohol that he and a friend drank behind the Walgreens drug store at the corner of Atwood Avenue and Plainfield Street.

Leveille reported that the juvenile "appeared mildly intoxicated and slightly ill," and admitted to asking Mosco to buy liquor and cigarettes for him.

"He stated that this is not the first time that [Mosco] had made such an offer, and that she also told them that if they came to her house later she would give them marijuana," Leveille wrote in his report.

The other juvenile confirmed the account, Leveille reported, and Conetta said she wanted to press charges.

A check of Mosco's record returned an active warrant issued by Third District Court for failure to appear at a payment review on a disorderly conduct charge brought by Johnston Police in 2010.

Officers went to the Walgreens parking lot and found the empty can of Four Loko that the juvenile admitted to drinking, Leveille wrote. Other officers found Mosco at her home and formally arrested her.

Following arraignment at Johnston Police headquarters, officers turned Mosco over to the Adult Correctional Institutions, Cranston, on the warrant.

In court on Monday, Judge Pamela Woodcock-Pfeiffer sentenced Mosco to 18 months' probation with 18 months suspended, and imposed $758.50 in fines and court costs.
