Joseph J. “TV Joe” Millozzi, Sr.

The World war II veteran and owner of his own television repair business passed away on June 29, 2012.

 

Joseph J. “TV Joe” Millozzi Sr., 89, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 29 at under the care of Odyssey Hospice. He was the beloved husband of the late Constance M. “Connie” (Paolucci) Millozzi; the father of the late Joseph J. Millozzi, Jr. and the brother of the late Raymond and Frederico Mallozzi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Luigi Mallozzi and Maria (DellaGrotta) Mallozzi.

Joseph served during WWII as a radar and navigation instructor in the US Army Air Corp. with the rank of Sgt. He will be best remembered by many as “TV Joe” during the more than 50 years that he owned and operated his own television, radio, and CB repair business.

Joseph is survived by his daughter, Nell M. Rianna and her husband Stephen; his grandson, Stephen B. and wife Jennifer; and granddaughter, Jamie L. Rianna, as well as two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Mia Grace Rianna. He also leaves his brothers, Americo, Anthony, and Louis Mallozzi as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation scheduled for Friday morning, July 6, 2012, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in , 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston.

Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Food Shelf, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, 02919.
