Obituary: Maria A. Garombo, 77

Maria A. Garombo, 77, 77 of Johnston passed away January 15, 2016 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Garombo.

Born in Peru a daughter of the late Justo and Melecia (Osnayo) Manrique. Mrs Garombo was a Chaplain for the Diocese of Providence at the A.C.I. before retiring. Maria was the former coordinator of all the Catholic Chaplain’s at the A.C.I , a member of the Chaplain’s Theme at the A.C.I. , and a communicant of the Holy Ghost Church. Maria was a former Religious Sister in Peru.She was the loving aunt of Mike M. Manrique Sr. and the loving great aunt of Kristianna, Mike Jr., Brandon and Michael Angelo Manrique. Also survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She was preceded in death by 2 other siblings.

Her funeral is Monday at 8:45 a.m. from ‘’WOODLAWN’’ Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Holy Ghost Church, Providence.
