RI State Police Charge Connecticut Man In Fatal Hit And Run

SCITUATE, RI—Clyde Horne, 26, of Moosup, Conn., surrendered Tuesday morning to Rhode Island State Police. He is being charged in connection with a fatal hit and run on the Plainfield Pike in Scituate last Dec. 29. Demetrio Tem-Temaj, 40, of Providence, was found in the road. An investigation determined he died after he had been struck by a car, and police began a search for a red Chevy Cruze. The car was found Jan. 3 in a body shop in Norwich, Conn.
Connecticut and Rhode Island State Police and the Scituate local police took the car, which was registered to Horne. After the evidence was presented to the Rhode Island Attorney General, Horne was indicted April 2. He is being charged with Duty to Stop in Accident Involving Personal Injury or Death, state police said. Horne was arrested April 3 after he surrendered to police. He will be arraigned in Providence Superior Court on Tuesday.
