[VIDEO] Two New Rescues Go Into Service at Johnston Fire Department

Fire Chief Timothy McLaughlin and Rescue Capt. Cherra Wheeler recently gave a tour of the two new International rescue vehicles purchased by the town.

 

As part of the ongoing upgrades to town public safety equipment — and following the — the recently took deliver of two new rescue vehicles.

Designated Rescue 1 and Rescue 3, the new trucks replace Ford vehicles that had become unreliable, according to Mayor Joseph Polisena.

"The other rescues we had were breaking down," Polisena said during a recent interview. "It's all about giving them the tools — when [residents] call, I want to make sure they get there, and get there safely."
