It's the latest phase of the $4 million sewer installation project by Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation, the management company for the Central Landfill.
According to a notice released by Parkside Utility Construction, the contractor for the installation, crews are installing the tie-in from the new sewer line to the Narragansett Bay Commission system.

The installation is expected to take another couple of days, with the lane restrictions is place until the work is finished.
Parkside crews are then scheduled to work their way north on Central Avenue toward the I-295 overpass, continuing the installation of 12-inch sewer lines.
Temporary water lines are also expected to be put in place this week as Parkside workers replace the water main on Central Avenue.
