Wingstop Opens 1st Ever Rhode Island Restaurant
Wingstop's first Rhode Island restaurant opened in Johnston.
JOHNSTON, RI — Wingstop opened its first ever Rhode Island location Wednesday in Johnston.
The 1501 Atwood Ave. will host a grand opening event on Tuesday, according to a media release from Wingstop.
The 10 a.m. to noon ribbon cutting will feature "music, free samples and giveaways," the release said. "Additionally, the first 50 guests in line starting at 10:30 a.m. will receive a $50 Wingstop gift card and exclusive Wingstop swag."

The first franchised Wingstop opened in 1992 and the company now has "more than 2,500 restaurants open across the globe," according to its website.
