Middletown Police: Local Woman Accused Of Stealing Firewood
A store customer called police after allegedly watching a woman steal bundles of firewood stacked outside a store.

MIDDLETOWN, RI—Sydnee C. Medeiros, 20, of Middletown, was charged with larceny under $1,500 on May 30 at 11:04 p.m. According to police, she's accused of making off with five bundles of wood from the 7-Eleven on Aquidneck Avenue. The logs are worth $48.10.
Medeiros allegedly purchased two wood bundles and a pack of Marlboro cigarettes in the store but then allegedly took additional wood bundles, which were stacked outside. Another customer saw her and told police he had urged her not to take the wood. He reported her license plate to police.
Officers went to her home on Aquidneck Avenue with the witness, who identified her. She was booked at the police station and released with a summons to appear in court on June 29.
