More Heavy Rain on Deck For Next Two Days

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a flood watch for Middletown and much of the Southern New England area starting tonight and lasting through Tuesday evening.

Rainfall will become heavy this evening, falling at a rate of 1 inch per hour. Rain will drop off briefly in the morning before increasing intensity in the afternoon and evening.  An additional 1 to 2.5 inches of rain can be expected on top of the more than three inches the area received from the Friday/Saturday storm.

The National Weather Service warns urban, poor drainage and small stream/river flooding may occur during this time.
