Summer Jobs Available Around Middletown

The city of Newport is looking to hire seasonal workers. Below are a list of jobs listed.

Lifguards
To provide beach and water safety and to assist in keeping beach areas clean of litter and debris. Must hold a valid professional level CPR & RI Surf certification and valid First Aid card. Swim Instruction Certification desired.

Pay Range: $9.00—$16.00 hourly depending on qualifications

Harbormaster Assistants
Assists the Harbormaster in enforcement of rules and regulations governing the conduct of individuals and vessels on public waters within xity jurisdiction. Must be able to obtain Transportation Workers Identification credentials. Certified divers, USCG, or State Boating Safety graduates are preferred.

Range: $8.00 - $18.00 hourly depending on qualifications

Laborer/Attendants
Maintains the cleanliness of public areas by providing litter pick up, raking, sweeping, grass cutting, painting and the like.

Pay Range: $7.50 - $16.00 hourly depending on qualifications

Beach Equipment Operator
Operates and maintains the beach tractor on Easton’s Beach. Must have experience operating heavy equipment and possess valid Rhode Island Driver’s License and Rhode Island Hoisting License.

Pay Range: $10.00 - $20.00 hourly depending on qualifications

Restroom Attendant
Easton’s Beach Maintaining the daily cleanliness of Easton Beach restrooms and keeping an adequate inventory of supplies necessary.

Pay Range: $7.50—$16.00 hourly depending on qualifications

Assistant Beach Manager - Easton’s Beach

Pay Range: $10.00—$20.00 hourly depending on qualifications

Seasonal positions may close without notice due to the filling of vacancies. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age (with a work permit) and must possess the minimum qualifications and certifications listed.
