Blizzard Response: What Grade Would You Give Middletown?

On a scale from A-F, what grade would you give Middletown?

Friday's blizzard dumped almost two feet of snow on Middletown, which left the roads impassable, knocked down trees and shut off power to all of Aquidneck Island.  The town of Middletown worked to clear the streets and coordinated with National Grid and the Red Cross to set up a regional shelter at Gaudet Middle School for those without heat or power.   Middletown fire and police provided transportation to residents who required shelter.

On an A - F scale, what grade would you give the town through this winter storm?

This relates to plowing, shelter and services. Provide constructive feedback if you give a less than perfect grade.

On the Middletown Patch Facebook page, the town received a wide range of grades and feedback.

Becky Peckham D. terrible job plowing. my street didn't get plowed til 130 AM. and the tree that came down was cut up and removed by the residents of the street.

Chris Welch I give the town an A. The residents mostly A's and some D's. Storms either bring out the best or worst in people. "I simply do NOT understand why I am not the absolute FIRST priority!" Kudos to the town and those of you with a realistic, come-together attitude. We're all in this together.

Michael J. Pine F. Plowing. They had nothing to do with the electric. Thank God. But just like everything else. It will be accepted. Unfortunately!!!!! All the have to do is unlock the school for the shelter.

Sean Sullivan A. Power was restored in a reasonable amount of time and crews have been working continuously to plow roads. That was a huge storm, ridiculous amount of snow.

Chelsea Perry C-. I can't count how many plows I passed today and yesterday that could have had the plow down doing the roads. That is ridiculous. But other than that problem...which seems to always be the biggest problem...the electricity was restored in a decent time and transportation and shelters were available. That is the only thing that kept them at a C.

What is the grade you give the town?
