5 Parks Being Sprayed For Mosquitos In South Kingstown

Spraying is not 100 percent effective in eliminating all mosquitoes, or the chances of being bitten, in the treated areas. Take precautions.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — South Kingstown Parks and Recreation will conduct scheduled mosquito spraying at five town parks on Monday.

Parks that are part of the spraying include:

  • West Kingston Park
  • Curtis Corner Play Fields
  • Broad Rock Play Field
  • Old Mountain Field
  • Tuckertown Park.

Town officials said the spray, EcoVia MT, is non-toxic and has been selected to mitigate the risk of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE). Still, spraying is not 100 percent effective in eliminating all mosquitoes, or the chances of being bitten, in the treated areas.
