Five Things, August 2: South County Photo Deadline, Seafood Festival and More
Today is Friday, August 2, 2013 and here are five things to know today.

Free Summer Concert: Looking for something fun to do this evening? Grab some friends, family and a blanket or chair and head to Narragansett Gazebo Park (25 Ocean Rd., Narragansett) at 6 p.m. for a free concert by South County acoustic duo, Boatcake.
Charlestown Seafood Festival: The 29th Annual Charlestown Seafood Festival kicks off today from noon until 11 p.m. at Ninigret Park on Rte. 1A in Charlestown. Saturday hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Apart from featuring RI's best seafood, the Festival will also offer a wide variety of arts & crafts, amusement rides, continuous live music and much more! Fun at Meadowbrook:Â From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, the management, staff and community of Meadowbrook I & II Apartments (1 Meadowbrook Way, SK), will come together for a day of fun to celebrate summer and give the kids one last party before they return to school. Enjoy hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, soda and cookies, as well as a bounce house and visits from the SK Police and Fire departments to show off their emergency vehicles. Donations of school supplies, backpacks, git certificates, bike helmets and even children's bikes are requested from the community for a raffle drawing at the event. For more information, call 792.9210.Gala Registration: Today, August 2, is the final day to RSVP for the Night Under the Stars Gala Fundraiser for the Christian Brothers Center, scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Sunday, August 11 at The Dunes Club (137 Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett).
