Husband Caught Man Breaking Into His Wife's Car: South Kingstown

Police arrested Nathaniel Stacey on Independence Lane early Saturday morning.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Shortly after midnight Saturday morning, police investigated a call about a "disturbance" on Independence Lane. The officers arrived around 12:30 a.m. and found two men fighting. One, the Independence Lane resident, alleged he had caught a suspect trying to break into his wife's car and was holding him until police could take him into custody.

They did. Nathaniel "Nate" Stacey, 32, of South Kingstown, was charged with Injuring or Tampering with Motor Vehicles and Disorderly Conduct, police said. He is being held at the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston for a bail violation. Stacey is due back in court on May 23.
