Other facts
Community voices matter. Government exists to represent the people. Elected officials need to make extra efforts to find out what the people they serve want.
I pledge to engage and listen to community members in sincere and meaningful ways. Anybody who knows me knows I have strong Democratic leanings, mixed well with expecting accountability, respect for community representation, and openness and transparency.
These have been among my concerns for as many years as I have been involved in the local policy and political scene. In these regards, the last two years have been dismal. Fortunately, there are some open seats already. Hopefully better representation, accountability, less rushed, and "group-think" led decisions will result starting in November.
I hope to be part of that, and look forward to community partnerships along the way to November continuing on beyond if I am fortunate enough to be able to officially serve this fine town of South Kingstown.
