Man, 61, Drowned At Narragansett Town Beach: Police
The man had a medical emergency in the water Sunday afternoon, police said.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — A man drowned at Narragansett Town Beach Sunday afternoon, according to police.
The 61-year-old man was in the water around 4:15 p.m. Sunday, police said, when he suffered a medical emergency and lost consciousness. Bystanders pulled him from the water and began CPR.
Emergency responders continued CPR when they arrived, before the man was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The victim's identity has not yet been released. He was not a Rhode Island resident, police said.
