Miriam E. Cary, Mother of Two, Dies at 87
Retired Narragansett bus driver and avid bowler, Miriam E. Cary passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013.

Miriam E. Cary (Horton), 87, of Columbia Street, formerly of Harbour Island Road, Narragansett, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 13, 2013. She was the wife of the late Forrest J. Cary; and former wife of the late Allen G. “Sandy” Sanderson.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Maynard L. and Anna M. (Woodcock) Horton. Mrs. Cary worked for the Telephone Credit Union before raising her family and later worked as a bus driver for the Town of Narragansett before retiring. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of teams at Old Mountain Lanes and Kingstown Bowl.
Miriam leaves two sons, Forrest J. Cary, Jr. and his wife Laura of Wakefield and Andrew J. Cary, Ph.D. of Wakefield; a sister, Virginia Holcombe of North Kingstown; a niece, Donna Holcombe of North Kingstown; and four grandchildren, Samuel, Thomas, Amelia and Tayshia Cary. She was the sister of the late Maynard Horton.
