Narragansett Man Charged With Felony B+E

A man involved in an arrest after a fire in Narragansett in July is now charged with breaking and entering in South Kingstown.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the South Kingstown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Joseph Bianco, 23, of 56 Meadowrue Trail, Narragansett, was arrested at about 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 21 and charged with felony breaking and entering, and a misdemeanor count of vandalism.

According to South Kingstown police, Bianco was picked up by Narragansett police at about 7 p.m. on Aug. 21.

A warrant had been issued for his arrest after he allegedly broke into the Vanilla Bean Ice Cream Shop on Aug. 23, 2011. Details of this initial incident were not included with Bianco’s arrest report.

Police said that because Bianco made statements about moving out of town by the end of the month, he was held overnight to be arraigned in Fourth Division District Court the morning of Aug. 22.

Bianco was arrested earlier this year in Narragansett after his apartment burned down and his dog died. He allegedly interfered with firefighters and attempted to break into an adjacent apartment at the time. For information on that arrest, click .

A status conference for the Narragansett charges is scheduled for Aug. 29. Felony screening for the South Kingstown breaking and entering charge is scheduled for Oct. 9.
