Narragansett Police Log: August 25 and 26, 2012
According to police, four are arrested following a fight at the Coast Guard House.

Four Arrested Following Fight at Coast Guard House
According to police, four men were arrested at the Coast Guard House following an incident at about 12:43 a.m. on Aug. 25.

- Travis Burton, 29, of 87 Parker Hill Road, Killingworth, CT, was charged with disorderly conduct. Police said a Second Division District Court warrant was also out for his arrest.
- Sean Romano, 25, of 4830 Innisbrook Court. Apt. #10, Myrtle Beach, SC, was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and failure to disperse.
- Evan Clouthier, 25, of 63 Dunne Ave., Collinsville, CT, was charged with failure to disperse.
- Christopher Conant, 25, of 468 South Main St., New Britain, CT, was charged with failure to disperse.
Police said when they arrived, staff at the Coast Guard House had identified a group of about 10 to 15 people on the north deck that they wanted to leave the bar because of a small fight.
Police noted that the group was slow to leave, despite repeated requests by staff and police. Police said the incident escalated when Romano and Clouthier attempted to re-enter the bar, despite their requests to leave. Both told police they still had friends at the bar, so they wanted to go in and tell them to leave, which police told them they couldn’t do.

According to police, Burton was placed under arrest first. Police said he was observing their efforts to clear the group, became argumentative, and then point his finger at a bouncer and yelled, “**** you, *****!”
Police said that while they were arresting Burton, Romano became upset and told them, “I’m not ****ing leaving.” When he attempted to walk past an officer and back into the bar, the officer arrested him.
According to police, Romano resisted throughout his arrest, and kept yelling obscenities, such as, “**** you, this is ********!”
Clouthier was arrested by another officer, as he also attempted to re-enter the bar. He was arrested without incident, police said.
Police said as they walked Burton and Romano to a car, Conant and a small group followed them. Police said they told the group multiple times to stop following, and to leave the area, at which point Conant yelled at Burton and Romano, “Don’t tell them anything, shut the **** up.”
According to police, they gave Conant a final warning to leave the area, but he refused. At that point, he was also arrested.
Police said Conant was processed first, and released at about 2 a.m. Clouthier was released at about 2:40 a.m. Romano and Burton were processed and released at about 5 a.m., because a justice of the peace was needed for their misdemeanor charges.
Warwick Man Arrested for Warrant
Christopher G. Campanini, 24, of 86 Pitman Road, Warwick, was arrested at about 5:46 p.m. on Aug. 25. Police said a Third Division District Court warrant was out for his arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing on June 6 related to a West Warwick police charge of possession of marijuana.
According to police, an officer traveling behind a car on Point Judith Road noted that it had a faulty brake light. A traffic stop was made near Mariner Square.
Police said a background check of the driver – Campanini – revealed the warrant. He was arrested without incident, and the car was towed from the scene. He posted bail and was released at about 6:50 p.m.
CCRI Student Cited for License Violation
Jamilton Salazar, 20, of 43 Primrose St., Pawtucket, was cited at about 5:28 p.m. on Aug. 25 and charged with driving with a suspended license. Police said Salazar is a student at the Community College of Rhode Island.
According to police, an officer traveling on Point Judith Road near Old Point Judith Road noted a car driving with two tires in the breakdown lane for a short distance. As a result, a traffic stop was made near Foddering Farm Road.
Police said a background check of the driver – Salazar – revealed that his license was suspended in August 2011 was failing to appear at a court hearing. He was cited for the violation, and a passenger drove Salazar and the car from the scene.
