Narragansett Police Log: February 5, 6 and 7, 2011
A student goes Incredible Hulk on a car windshield, and police break-up five loud parties on Saturday and Sunday.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the Narragansett Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Intoxicated URI Student Accused of Breaking Windshield With Fist
Robert M. Hinds, 20, of 10 Arrow Court, Flanders, NJ, was arrested about 1:20 a.m. Saturday on a charge of malicious property damage. Police reports noted that he is a URI student.

According to police, they received a report of a disturbance from a home on Palm Beach Avenue. When they arrived, they said they observed Hinds standing with no shirt on near his girlfriend, and a small group identified him as the cause of the disturbance.
Police said that according to a witness, a 21-year-old man living at the Palm Beach Avenue home, Hinds punched the windshield of the car of an 18-year-old Massachusetts girl, causing the windshield to shatter.

According to police, Hinds was highly intoxicated and refused to answer any questions. According to his girlfriend, a 20-year-old Narragansett woman, people at the party became upset with Hinds and threw him out after he spit on the floor. The girlfriend said that she did not see any of the fight, or Hinds breaking the windshield.
Police arrested Hinds and held him for arraignment by a justice of the peace Saturday morning. He was released and issued a Feb. 22 date for Fourth Division District Court.
Loud Party Reports
Police reported the following parties:
- At about 12:17 a.m. Saturday, police received a complaint of a loud party at 5 Ashley Court. Police said about 50 to 75 people were at the home, with about 15 to 20 cars illegally parked and making the roadway impassable for an emergency call. Police said the party was cleared without incident. The tenants were identified as Chrisostomo Gomez, Steven Gray, Theodoros N. Sidiropoulos, all 20, and William C. Dickey, 21. All four were identified as URI students, and the home is owned by Polazi Realty.
- At about 12:19 a.m. Saturday, police received a complaint of a loud party at 63 Kingstown Road. Police said about 150 people were gathered, with the crowd clustering and blocking streets once the party was over. Police said the party was cleared quickly and without incident. The tenants were identified as Audai Cote, Yvens L. Faustin and Jameson Wheeler, all 20-year-old students at URI. The home is owned by Ann O’Brien Realty.
- At about 12:26 a.m. Saturday, police received a complaint of a loud party at 25 Summit Road. Police said about 50 to 75 people were at the home, with about 25 to 30 cars illegally parked, blocked off emergency vehicle access. Police said the party was cleared without incident. The tenants were identified as URI students Steven P. Hurley and Kurt R. Zimmerman, 21, and Nicholas C. Loens, 22. The home is owned by Ann O’Brien Realty.
- At about 12:08 a.m. Sunday, police received a complaint of a loud party at 7 Greene Lane. Police said about 100 people were at the home, which the tenants were attempting to clear as they arrived. Police said there were numerous cars illegally parked, and several large groups of people walking and blocking the roadway. The tenants were identified as URI students Ned C. Marini, 20, and Mackenzy G. Haller, Ryan M. Meade and George W. Miller, 21. According to town property records, the homeowner is Thomas K. Lopardo.
- At about 12:33 a.m. Sunday, police received a complaint of a loud party at 3 Glendaway Drive. Police said about 50 to 60 people were at the home, but there was no illegal parking. Police said the house was cleared peacefully in about 10 minutes. The tenants were identified as 22-year-old URI students Wallace G. Giakas and Christopher V. Raupers. According to town property records, the homeowner is Thomas M. Rohanna.
Narragansett Man Arrested for Warrant
Zachary D. Lindley, 21, of 3 Camden Road, Narragansett, was arrested about 11:35 a.m. Saturday for a Fourth Division District Court warrant. The warrant was for failing to appear at arraignment for a suspended license charge.
According to police, an officer on patrol on Point Judith Road saw Lindley in the passenger seat of a car and knew he had a warrant out for his arrest. A traffic stop was made, at which point the warrant was confirmed, and Lindley was arrested without incident.
Police said a background check of the driver and another passenger were negative. Lindley was transported to police headquarters and arraigned at 2:16 p.m., and given a new court date of Feb. 22.
Worcester Woman Arrested for Warrant
Jessica Lee Fortune, 36, of 765 Main St., Apt. #7, Worcester, MA, was arrested about 10 a.m. Saturday for a Fourth Division District Court warrant. The warrant was for failing to appear at a court hearing for a suspended license charge.
According to police, they learned that Fortune was at a home on Point Judith Road. Police learned from the homeowner that she was home, and she was placed under arrest without incident. She was transported to the ACI on Saturday afternoon.
No Arrests Monday
Police reported no arrests on Monday, Feb. 7.
