Warwick Man Charged With Violating No-Contact Order in 2011

Frank W. Eldridge, 28, of 35 Glen Drive, Warwick, was arrested at about 9 a.m. on Oct. 3 and charged with two counts of violating a no-contact order.

According to police, in October 2011 they received a complaint from a 21-year-old woman that Eldridge was harassing her via phone calls and text messages, following the break-up of a three-year relationship.

Police tried to arrest Eldridge at that time, but he couldn’t be located. Police said he was not at a home owned by his parents, did not own a car and didn’t have an active driver’s license. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and a bulletin was broadcast to area departments.

At the time, police noted that Eldridge had been arrested in January 2011 for domestic disorderly conduct and obscene phone calls, which is why the victim had a no-contact order out. He was arrested for violating the no-contact order a first time in March 2011, police said.

According to police, the next night in October 2011, the victim again had to lodge a complaint to police. The victim told police that Eldridge had told her he was in the woods on the Connecticut and Rhode Island border, “I really need to go to the hospital, I ****ed up bad,” and “I need help, there’s so much blood.”

Based on the emergency nature of the call, police said Verizon, Eldridge’s cell phone provider, did a GPS trace of his cell phone. The call was determined to be coming from a Warwick neighborhood. However, police said Eldridge was again unable to be found, as Warwick police couldn’t locate Eldridge in their city.

According to police, on Oct. 3 Eldridge turned himself in at police headquarters. He was arrested without incident, processed and then released at about 9:25 a.m.
