According to police, an officer observed a black sedan traveling at a high rate of speed – 72 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone – on Boston Neck Road near Anawan Cliff.
Police said that while attempting to catch up to the vehicle, the officer lost sight of it, but soon noted it on Old Boston Neck Road with the airbags deployed and the hazard lights on. Police said an accident reconstruction done later suggested that the car spun 180 degrees while attempting to make a turn.

According to police, the driver – Neill – and a passenger both said they were uninjured. Police said Neill smelled of alcohol, and had trouble providing police with his license, registration and proof of insurance, instead giving out his bill of sale and inspection report.
Police said Neill consented to field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was arrested as a result.
According to police, an inventory of Neill’s car revealed a small cement lion lawn ornament. When asked about it, Neill allegedly told police, “I don’t know anything about that.”
Police said they contacted the owner of Leo’s Pizza, who wished to press charges. Neill was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test at police headquarters, speeding, swerving and failure to turn properly at an intersection.
Police noted that while at headquarters, Neill claimed repeatedly that he had not been read his Miranda Rights and argued continuously while being processed. He was held for arraignment at Fourth Division District Court at 9 a.m.
URI Student Arrested for Warrant
Justin Tyler Krute, 22, of 16 Summit Road, Narragansett, was arrested at about 8:31 a.m. on Sept. 11. Police said Krute is a student at the University of Rhode Island, and said the warrant was issued after Krute did not appear at a court hearing for a Narragansett police charge of vandalism.
According to police, officers arrested Krute at his home without incident. He was transported to court for arraignment at about 9:30 a.m.
In April 2012, Krute and two other tenants were cited for not having any control of a party with about 100 people on Greenbrier Road. He was also cited for a loud party in November 2010 on Stratford Avenue.
