Narragansett Police Working Towards Re-Accreditation
A team of assessors from the RI Police Accreditation Commission​ will visit the Narragansett Police Department and invites public feedback.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — Narragansett police have started re-accreditation process.
A team of assessors from the Rhode Island Police Accreditation Commission (RIPAC) will visit the Narragansett Police Department on Sept. 19 to examine all aspects of the department's policies, procedures, management, operations, and support services.
Verification by the assessment team that the Narragansett Police Department meets the commission’s standards is part of a voluntary process recognizing professional excellence in law enforcement.

During the visit, police employees and the public are invited to call the assessors and offer comments about Narragansett police. Those who want to provide feedback can call the assessment team between 1 and 2 p.m. Sept. 19, at 401-789-1091, extension 255.
Phone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with RIPAC standards.

A copy of the RIPAC standards are available for review at the Narragansett Police Department. Questions concerning compliance with any of the standards may be directed to Capt. Kyle Rekas at 401-789-1091, extension 303.
