Narragansett's 'Gathering Of Remembrance' To Honor 9/11

NARRAGANSETT, RI — In honor of the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, the town of Narragansett will hold a memorial ceremony on Saturday.

The "Gathering of Remembrance" will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the town's Gazebo Park.

Narragansett is one of several Rhode Island communities marking the 20th anniversary of the attacks, including Newport, which will hold a Bell Ceremony at 8:30 a.m. The attacks claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people, including five Rhode Islanders.
