Pawtucket Man Indicted for Sexual Assault

A Washington County Grand Jury indicts Charles Kenner, 19, on multiple counts of sexual assault and child molestation.

On Friday, the Washington County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Charles Kenner, 19, of 35 Star St., Pawtucket, with four counts of first degree sexual assault, four counts of child molestation, and one count of second degree child molestation.

It is alleged that on about dates in June 2012, Kenner sexually assaulted a female multiple times, with the assault being in the first degree.  It is further alleged that Kenner also molested a person 14 years of age or under, with the molestation being in the first and second degree.

The alleged sexual assault and child molestation took place in South Kingstown. South Kingstown police conducted the investigation. 

Kenner is currently being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Washington County Superior Court on Sept. 24.
