SK, Gansett, Prout Students Get Dunkin’ Scholarships
Four local students are among scholarship recipients getting more than $100,000 from Dunkin' Donuts.

Local students Julia DeMoranville of South Kingstown High School, Ashley Osmera of Immaculate Conception Academy, Mary-Catherine Stockman of The Prout School, Alexander McLeod of Narragansett High School and Stephanie Anderson of North Kingstown High School were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees of Rhode Island and Bristol County, MA, as part of the 17th Annual Dunkin’ Donuts Scholarship program. Â
This year, Dunkin’ Donuts awarded a $1,000 scholarship to one member of the senior class in each high school in Rhode Island and Bristol County who excelled academically, demonstrated leadership qualities and was involved with the community. More than 100 scholarships were awarded throughout the area.

In the 17 years that local Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees have funded the scholarship program, more than $1.7 million in scholarships have been awarded to area students to help further their education, demonstrating the franchisee’s long-standing commitment to supporting youth and education-based programs in the community.
“Since the inception of this program, the need for scholarships has increased exponentially,” said Rob Batista, a Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee. “We are so proud to offer this initiative to our loyal guests who support us each day, and we hope that these scholarships will help ease the financial burden of achieving a college education for local families.”Â
