SK Police Log: August 23, 27 and 28, 2012
A Connecticut man is charged with felony drug possession, after police find a pill in his Jeep.

Connecticut Man Charged With Possession of Pill, Marijuana
Daniel Patsiga, 25, of 17 Westwood Drive, Waterford, CT, was arrested at about 9:22 p.m. on Aug. 28 and charged with felony drug possession, possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and driving in possession of a controlled substance.

According to police, they received a report of an erratic driver in a green Jeep Wrangler, heading from Route 1 to Route 138. Police noted a Jeep matching the description near Lower College Road, and allegedly saw it swerving. The vehicle was clocked at 49 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone.
Police said a traffic stop was made by West Kingston Park, and a background check confirmed that Patsiga’s license was suspended. A search of the Jeep revealed a metal grinder with marijuana, and a pill believed to contain Hydrocodone, which Patsiga did not have a prescription for.

Patsiga was held overnight at headquarters for arraignment on the morning of Aug. 29.
Parks and Rec Employee Charged With Drunken Driving
Note: This report was not initially included in the reports printed for the media on Aug. 23, so we included it in this log.
Matthew H. Delaney, 21, of 5 Upper Terrace Circle, Wakefield, was arrested at about 2:12 a.m. on Aug. 23 and charged with drunken driving, and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.
According to police, a Med Tech ambulance driver told them that a pickup truck had driven off the road on Route 138 between Route 108 and Rose Hill Road. The driver – Delaney – did not appear to be injured.
Police said that while speaking to Delaney, he smelled of alcohol. He told police that he had fallen asleep while driving home.
According to police, Delaney consented to field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was arrested, and allegedly refused to submit to a chemical test at headquarters. He was processed and then released at about 3:30 a.m.
West Warwick Man Arrested for Warrant
Kurt L. Marschall, 27, of 100 Revere Ave., West Warwick, was arrested at about 8:40 a.m. on Aug. 28. Police said a Third Division District Court warrant was out for his arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing for a drunken driving charge.
According to police, an officer checking plates on Old Tower Hill Road noted the Marshall was the owner of a red Cadillac traveling in the area. A traffic stop was made, his background was confirmed, and he was arrested without incident.
One Traffic Stop Leads to Three Arrests
Crey Reisner, 32, of 306 Shannock Road, South Kingstown, Michael O’Dell, 44, of 10 Factory St., West Warwick, and Lisa R. St. Laurent, 30, of 42 Ranger Road, North Kingstown, were arrested at about 6:20 p.m. on Aug. 27.
According to police, an officer checking car registrations noted that the owner of a black Ford had a Superior Court warrant out for her arrest. As a result, a traffic stop was made on Tower Hill Road shortly past Verizon.
Police said that the operator – Reisner – told them he did not have a license. He was arrested without incident.
St. Laurent – the registered owner with a Superior Court warrant out for her arrest – was allowed to call friends to find someone to take a car. Police noted that they did this because three children were in the backseat of the car, and they wanted to avoid an incident.
When her friends arrived, St. Laurent was arrested without incident. However, a background check of the two friends revealed that one – O’Dell – had a warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested without incident.
