SK Police Log: October 2, 2012

A South Kingstown man is charged with disorderly conduct, and police cite several for alcohol, licenses and warrants.

South Kingstown Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct

Nathan J. Fasching, 40, of 24 Tri-Pond Court, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 4:51 p.m. on Oct. 2 and charged with disorderly conduct.

According to police, Fasching called them to report an assault at his home. However, police said that while attempting to interview Fasching and two people involved about the incident, he refused to cooperate.

Police said that Fasching continually screamed and yelled at the two people, despite given repeated verbal warnings and separated from them. After a final warning, Fasching was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

According to police, Fasching was processed at headquarters and then released at about 8:47 p.m. He requested no-trespass orders, but police told him the property owner would have to request them.

West Warwick Man Charged With Driving With A Suspended License

Mark A. Traynor, 31, of 29 Spring St., West Warwick, was arrested at about 12:55 a.m. on Oct. 2 and charged with driving with a suspended license.

According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Kingstown Road near the Meadow Brook Apartments heard a Toyota Camry with a loud exhaust. A traffic stop was made as a result.

Police said a background check of the driver – Traynor – revealed that his license was suspended. He was arrested without incident, processed at police headquarters and then released at about 2:04 a.m.

South Kingstown Man Arrested for Warrant

Nathan William Morgan, 33, of 54 Fortin Road, Apt. #2E, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 7:50 a.m. on Oct. 2. Police said a Superior Court warrant was out for Morgan’s arrest.

According to police, they received a report of a possible heroin overdose at Morgan’s address. When assisting rescue personnel with the scene, police noted that a background check of the man being treated – Morgan – revealed a Sept. 2010 warrant for a probation violation stemming from a Providence police drug charge.

Police said Morgan was treated at South County Hospital and released shortly before 10 a.m., at which point he was taken into police custody. He was transported to Fourth Division District Court for arraignment that day.

URI Student Cited for Transportation of Alcohol by a Minor

Erik Kacsor, 20, of 50 Lower College Road, South Kingstown, was cited at about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 2 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor.

According to police, an officer made a traffic stop on Kacsor’s SUV near Fraternity Circle. Police said a search of the SUV revealed a bottle of Captain Morgan rum, a can of Coors Light beer and a can of Four Loko malt beverage.

Kacsor was cited for the violation and allowed to drive from the scene. The alcohol was confiscated and destroyed.
