South Kingstown Police Identify Injured Biker

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — South Kingstown police have identified the biker injured Monday in an apparently accidental fall off the Church Street Bridge. Robert Hammond, 43, of Exeter, is reported in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital. He was found conscious but unable to move in water at the base of the bridge. The accident was reported around 4:30 p.m. Hammond was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital. Police are still investigating but say alcohol appears to have been involved.
