Supplemental Gansett Police Reports: September 14 to 21, 2012
Police charged a Wickford man with drunken driving, second offense, and cite several URI students for alcohol violations.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the Narragansett Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
These reports were procured via records requests. The arrests were not included in the originally printed media packet, either because of ongoing investigations, vacations for commanding officers or mistakenly by oversight.
Wickford Man Charged With Drunken Driving, Second Offense

Adrian O. Iselin, 50, of 110 Pleasant St., Wickford, was arrested at about 8:20 p.m. on Sept. 21 and charged with drunken driving, second offense within five years, and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.
Details of Iselin’s arrest were not released. The traffic stop took place in the Pier Marketplace.

According to online records, Iselin is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on Oct. 23 in Fourth Division District Court. He has four previous arrests.
- In August 2011, North Kingstown police charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct were dismissed. North Kingstown Patch has details of that arrest.
- In April 2010, Iselin pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of drunken driving. He was ordered to serve a year of probation, to pay a fine and court costs, to surrender his license for three months, and to complete 10 hours of community service and DWI treatment.
- In January 2009, Iselin pleaded no contest to a North Kingstown police charge of resisting arrest. He was ordered to pay court costs. Additional North Kingstown police charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct were dismissed.
- In February 2006, he pleaded no contest to a South Kingstown police felony charge of drug possession. He was ordered to serve a year of probation and a year-long suspended sentence, to pay assessments, and to complete substance abuse counseling and 100 hours of community service.
Coventry Man Charged With License Violation
Vann Thomas White, 27, of 19 Old North Road, Coventry, was arrested at about 8:37 a.m. on Sept. 14 and charged with driving with a suspended license.
According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Burnside Avenue saw a car driven by White go through a stop sign without stopping. A traffic stop was made on Ocean Road near Burnside Avenue.
Police said a background check of White revealed that his license was suspended on Sept. 11 for failing to pay child support. He was arrested without incident, processed and then released at about 9:45 a.m. He was also cited for running the stop sign.
URI Students Cited for Transportation of Alcohol by a Minor
- Alexandria R. Hunter, 20, of 580 Natick Road, Cranston, was cited at about 9:18 p.m. on Sept. 14 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor. Police said Hunter is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, an officer traveling on Boston Neck Road saw a white Nissan driven by Hunter in front of him, with the tires on the fog line. A traffic stop was made near Subway.
Police said when they asked Hunter if there was any beer in the vehicle, she initially said no, smiled, and then said there was some on the back seat when asked again by police.
According to police, they confiscated a six-pack of Bud Light from Hunter’s car and cited her for the violation. She was also warned for the traffic violation.
- Jordan A. Goldfond, 19, of 80 Sakonnet Boulevard, Narragansett, was cited at about 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 21 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor. Police said Goldfond is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, while traveling on Point Judith Road near Angel Road, they saw a car swerve. As a result, a traffic stop was made at the intersection of Jamestown Boulevard and Burnside Avenue.
Police said that while speaking to the driver – Goldfond – they could see a 30-pack of Keystone Light by the feet of a passenger.
A background check confirmed that Goldfond was not 21, and the beer was confiscated, along with a bottle of Three Olives vodka, 12 Bud Light beers and three bottles of Burnett’s vodka. Goldfond was cited and allowed to drive from the scene.
URI Student Cited for Possession of Alcohol
Sean R. O’Grady, 20, of 30 Jamestown Boulevard, Narragansett, was cited at about 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 15 and charged with possession of alcohol by a minor. Police said O’Grady is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, officers responded to 75 Sand Hill Cove Road for a noise complaint. Police said while clearing a party, they checked the IDs and cited O’Grady as he attempted to leave with three cans of Narragansett beer.
Block Island Man Arrested for Three Warrants
Connor T. Murphy, 42, of New Shoreham, was arrested at about 2:21 p.m. on Sept. 18. Police said Murphy had three Fourth Division District Court warrants out for his arrest, for charges of disorderly conduct and simple assault.
According to police, they were able to locate Murphy on the Block Island Ferry. Police said he was arrested without incident and transported to court for arraignment.
