Trustee Stole From Disabled Person: South Kingstown Police
Carole Boudreau, 71, of North Kingstown, may have embezzled more than $36,000 from a disabled person's trust.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI—A North Kingstown woman is being charged with felony embezzlement after an investigation that started last March 9. That's when South Kingstown police learned Carole Boudreau, 71, was a trustee for a disabled person, and that Boudreau was suspected in an alleged "misappropriation" from the trust. Some $36,300 was involved, police said.
On Monday, police obtained an arrest warrant for Boudreau. On Wednesday, she turned herself in. She is being charged with Felony Embezzlement/ Fraudulent Conversion and appeared in district court today. She was released and is due back in court on Aug. 28.
Police said no additional information is being released.
