Dyers Widen Lead in Patch Holiday Lights Contest; Gansett Pulls Ahead of SK in Votes
Pick your favorite! Help Narragansett Patch beat South Kingstown Patch in total votes and comments!
With just a single night of voting left, the Dyer family still leads the Frankovich family 37-12 in the First Annual Narragansett Patch Holiday Lights Contest.
While the standings haven't changed, everyone that has voted so far should give themselves a pat on the back – We officially have more votes than South Kingstown Patch's , which ended last night.
As of Friday morning, we have 57 comments to their 55, despite having 10,000 less residents. While I'm no scientist, I believe this could be because Narragansett is a lot more awesome. (Attleboro might be a tougher target to topple in this final day, as has 94 votes.)

If you want to check the houses out in person, the Frankovich family is on Conanicus Street, and the Dyer family is on Westmoreland Street.
Both were the sole entrants into the contest, so instead of having my panel of judges pick a winner, I decided to open the voting up to Patch users. Pictures of both houses are attached to the bottom of this story. Vote for your favorite in the comments.

I'm also still looking for photo submissions, even though you won't be eligible for the grand prize, a copy of Gansettopoly. Send them to Stephen.greenwell@patch.com. I have some other swag, like Patch cargo totes, pens and magnets, for anyone who'd like to submit some photos.
What are you waiting for? Vote now! Providence-style rules apply, so vote early and often, and feel free to recruit family, friends and anyone else you can to vote.
THE DEADLINE FOR VOTING IS MIDNIGHT FRIDAY! You can check back with Patch Christmas morning to find out the winner.
