URI Campus Police Investigate Alleged Assault
Little information is available so far, but the school said the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Kingston campus.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI—Campus police are investigating a reported assault on the Kingston campus Wednesday night. According to Dave Lavallee, the school's assistant communications director, the police do not have a suspect. No information is available about the victim's condition.
"We don't have much yet," he said. The incident allegedly happened around 9:30 p.m. near Butterfield and West Alumni roads. URI campus police sent an alert around midnight Thursday to ask anyone with information to call 401-874-2121.
The assailant is described as about 5'9 with dreadlocks. He was wearing a blue jacket and a red hoodie. He was last seen near Hillside Hall, which is one of the residences.
